Helping Children Communicate

We provide licensed speech, language, literacy, and audiological services to children, with fees based on their family’s ability to pay. 

Center Based Services

The Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center works with most pediatric communication disorders including speech, language, stuttering, voice, apraxia, hearing and auditory processing. We provide individual therapy sessions, consultation, and evaluation services.

Since our founding, in 1991, we have helped over 11,000 children and provide families in need with over $3,000,000 in scholarships.

The Center is open for appointments from Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

We accept the following insurance plans: Anthem PPO,  Cigna PPO, Tricare, Aetna, and United Healthcare. If we are not providers with your insurance company, we can still bill on your behalf if your policy has out-of-network benefits. To learn more, click here.

Community Outreach Programs

Across the greater Richmond area, the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center provides:
In-service training for teachers.

Speech, language, and auditory screenings at local preschools.

Group literacy sessions at preschools.
